Sustainability
Report 2019
The University of Hong Kong
During the reporting period from 2017 July to 2019 June, we witness ever more serious impacts of climate change, from the rise of sea level, to the intensity of extreme weather-induced disasters. We see persisting poverty, injustice and inequalities in many parts of the world. As a university with global reach and influence, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is committed to play our part for sustainability, and to provide a resilient, inclusive and positive future for our younger generations.
HKU ranked 10th globally in the 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings. Riding on this success, we have strengthened our commitment and effort on promoting sustainability along the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
